I am passionate about how we build strong cultures, develop people, and create the conditions for sustained impact in complex environments. This includes a focus on translating research into practice and supporting leaders to navigate the realities of improvement work.
I research and synthesise phenomena that allow for functional policy, so that practitioners are supported and systems improve.
My research and policy interests focus on school leadership - how we build a sustainable leadership pipeline in education, and how we manage the system to support principal health and wellbeing.
I am also interested in workforce challenges, including teacher attraction and retention. Finally, I have a keen interest in the rapidly evolving intersection of AI and education.
